You found me!

MS graduation. June 2019

Hi, you guys! My name is Ella and I live in the Philippines. I just turned 23 and I'm the eldest child in a family of four. I lay my life down for Jesus. I studied Physics and Materials Science and I delight in learning about science as a whole. I have a goal of travelling around the world both for the purpose of leisure and academic pursuit. I like blueberry cheesecakes, chai tea latte, and basically everything that is a product of my mother's culinary talent.

This isn’t the first time I told myself that I want to write a blog. It started when my family travelled to Sagada for our annual year-end trip. That time, I had always held with me my camera which I received as a gift for my 18th birthday. I took lots of beautiful photos, blog-worthy ones, and so elated and fulfilled I was from the trip that as soon as we got home, I hurried to open my laptop and transferred the photos from the camera. The next day, I wrote a few lines and found the blog unfinished, sitting on the drafts on the next couple of days. And the next thing I knew, I just lost interest in writing the story that once brought my heart into paradise. I had only managed to write the inconsiderable early part of the trip. I have not remembered another moment of wanting to write a blog until today.

Last 2018, my camera chose a terrible time to malfunction, that was when we had a trip to Bali. Since then I had not bothered to have it repaired, probably because there wasn’t a major trip coming up in the next few months and besides, I was using an iPhone 6s which has a fairly good camera, but still no match against the mirrorless Canon. I want to start a blog to integrate the two skills I want to hone—photography and writing. It is really in my prayer that I have my camera repaired or replaced in the soonest time possible.

I cannot picture yet how fancy or artsy my blog would be, I just know it would contain words and photos that I took. Now I am contemplating what I should write about but I am mainly considering science, faith, and travels, and of course a bit of every other thing. I sure had a lot of travels but I could not remember exactly the things that happened nor my takeaways in those trips.

This is merely a jump-start. That’s for now I guess. šŸ˜Š
